Hi, I'm Ying Zhang (张赢). I'm an MPhil student in Data Intensive Science at the University of Cambridge and a member of Lucy Cavendish College. I received my B.Sc. in Statistics from the University of Nottingham.
Before Cambridge I was a research intern at the University of Trento, working on hyperbolic neural networks; at Tsinghua University, on what benchmarks really measure in time-series anomaly detection; and at the ZJU–UIUC Institute, on latent diffusion language models.
My research interests lie in geometric deep learning and generative models. I'm excited about building models whose structure matches the structure of the data they are given.
